Data-On-Demand The Data On Demand system leverages the VOD channel to deliver a broad range of data and applications to even the most bandwidth constrained boxes . - Dynamic Ingestion accepts request for data from Set-Top Box and retrieves requested data from dynamic sources (including web and databases)
- Accepts all types of relevant data such as XML, RSS, HTML, Photos, Executables.
- Encapsulates dynamic data in MPEG via the MPEG Encoder and delivers MPEG to VOD Ingestion System
- DataOnDemand Data Decoder (Client) accepts MPEG from the VOD System, extracts date from MPEG, hands off data into the Set-Top Box RAM or Hard Drive, creates buffer, and manages UI catalog
