LG Electronics and Zodiac Interactive Demonstratethe Industry’s First Complete High-Def User Interfacefor CableLab’s OCAP at 2007 International CES,January 8-11 in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (2007 International CES) -- Jan. 8, 2007 -- LG Electronics, Inc. (LG) and Zodiac Interactive today announced they are demonstrating two-way interactive digital cable services running on LG’s OpenCable™ Application Platform (OCAP™)-compliant HDTV that was certified at a recent CableLabs® test wave for OpenCable Host. The HDTV is equipped with an industry leading high performance chipset and uses technology licensed from CableLabs; CHILA (CableCard Host Interface Licensing Agreement) and OCAP License Agreement. The services and application demonstrations include a complete User Interface (UI) implemented in OCAP running on Zodiac’s PowerUp™ OCAP Framework. These demonstrations will be held at 2007 International CES, January 8-11 in Las Vegas in LG Electronics’ Booth #8214.
