Zodiac sheds 'Gaming' tag, adds 'Interactive'

To better reflect a reorg and a stronger commitment to interactive television applications, Zodiac Gaming has been renamed Zodiac Interactive.

Zodiac, considered an OCAP champion due to its unwavering commitment to the CableLabs-specified middleware, will be holding demonstrations in the Scientific Atlanta and LG Electronics booths at the CES confab in Las Vegas.

There, the company said it will show off a range of iTV apps, as well as its "INSTA" framework for iTV content, high-definition games, and an iTV transaction application dubbed "TVcallME," which enables users to click their remote control to automatically receive a phone call from a TV advertiser or merchant.
