Zodiac Gaming™ Introduces A 3d Golf Simulator At Ncta National Show; Game Allows Cable Customers To Practice Their Golf Swing In The Comfort Of Their Living RoomsApril 3, 2005San Francisco, Ca. April 3, 2005:Zodiac Gaming , a leading game developer for the digital set-top box platform, brings the "first tee" to the consumer's living room with its newly-released 3D Golf Simulator introduced today at the NCTA National Show in San Francisco. Through state-of-the-art integration of set-top box technology and a wireless gyro mouse, consumers can stand in front of their televisions and execute a full golf swing to hit a virtual ball on a simulated golf course. The simulator shows the distance and direction of the shot. The gyro mouse has evolved as a common interface device for home media centers. Now, Zodiac has introduced a new and exciting application for this technology. "Our new technology brings the driving range to the living room," said Alexander V. Libkind, President and CEO of Zodiac Gaming LLC. "People can now hone their swing while away from the golf course. Zodiac is proud to release another exciting innovation to the cable industry - it is another example of how our cutting-edge R&D brings added value to the cable customer." Zodiac is demonstrating the technology at the GameNet Pavilion Booth #3, at the NCTA National Show and expects to make it commercially available this summer. In addition to the golf simulator powered by the gyro mouse, Zodiac is profiling other exciting peripheral devices including a 3D driving game powered by a steering wheel, and a real-time multiplayer/multiplatform martial arts game powered by off-the-shelf joypads.
