Looking to expand its mix of on-demand content offerings, Arroyo Video Solutions Inc. has partnered with Zodiac Gaming to field interactive games that can be played via a digital set-top box. Zodiac interactive games have been integrated onto Arroyo's open standards-based Video Platform for VOD content delivery. In doing so, the two companies say they can speed development of games to cable operators at a lower cost. "This capability will enhance the operator's on-demand offering by allowing them to support not only video downloads, but also data downloads so games and other advanced on-demand applications that are to be executed from the set-top can be easily delivered via the Arroyo Video Platform," said Alex Libkind, Zodiac president and CEO, in a release. |
