Zodiac and ActiveVideo Integrate on Tru2way™ technology

to support Ubiquitous Advanced Interactive TV

Zodiac's PowerUp™ bundled with ADB's set-top equipment gives TV operators the power to quickly deliver on the promise of Interactive Television 2.0™

First-time demonstrations at NCTA's The Cable Show '09 in Washington, DC, April 1-3

VALLEY STREAM, NY and GENEVA, Switzerland – March 23, 2009 – Zodiac Interactive, an award-winning developer of software for interactive television, and Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB), an award-winning manufacturer of customer premise equipment, have announced today the integration of PowerUp™TV with ADB's products. The combined solution lets operators more rapidly deploy tru2way™ and EBIF™ applications, offering advanced Interactive Television 2.0™ services, such as advanced guides, targeted advertising, and TV widgets.

PowerUp is Zodiac's tru2way framework, a common platform of open APIs and libraries that allow for a broad range of applications to be developed and work together across multiple devices.

With ADB's tru2way set-top boxes and software now integrating PowerUp, operators can enrich their subscribers' experience with a variety of new, interactive services, including local restaurant searching, click-to-call, games, photo-sharing, weather, traffic, sports scores, local news, and more.

Developers will also benefit from ADB and Zodiac's integrated solution: they will be able to build their tru2way applications to the PowerUp framework specifications, without worrying about interoperability between any tru2way component already deployed by an operator.
